INDONESIA GP INFO
The Indonesian Grand Prix first saw light in 1996, when the event was held in West Java. The event was held for two consecutive years with Mick Doohan and Tadayuki Okada taking home premier class honours respectively. After a 23-year absence, the event made a triumphant return to the MotoGP™ calendar with the Mandalike International Street Circuit in 2022. This is the first motorcycle racing street circuit since 1977, at the Yugoslavian Grand Prix in Croatia. The purpose-built street track was built in Lombok and was specifically designed to comply with modern safety standards. Considered a new player on the block, fans are eager to make history and be part of this exciting event, which puts Indonesia MotoGP™ tickets on the “expected to sell out real quick” list!
The track incorporates some existing public roads and the route of the track will be open to the public during non-racing activity. The track at the Mandalika International Street Circuit has a unique factor that other tracks in the region do not have - the special stone mastic asphalt used in its construction. One of its advantages is that it remains non-slippery when there is rain, thus making it an extremely safe track for riders. The track itself runs over 4.31km and features 17 corners, which give riders plenty of chances to edge their competitors out and take a lead position. Fans can expect to cheer for their favourite teams alongside other passionate fans as the capacity of more than 150,000 people guarantee a vibrant atmosphere. Set on a tourist destination island that is a major market for motorcycle manufacturers, it's time for you to get ready for a wild weekend with your friends and family, and get your Indonesia MotoGP™ tickets now!
